Call for Art

WGPP is happy to announce we are working on Volume 3 of our print anthology, featuring poems collected from a full year of our Third Thursday poetry readings.

Waiting for our book is a bit like waiting for Christmas. It always seems too far away. But rest assured both will eventually arrive. In fact, we’re hoping the books will arrive like Santa’s toys—on time for the holidays. And like one of Santa’s elves, you can help:

Selected contributions will be interspersed throughout the book. Here’s what’s on our wish list:

  • Celestial imagery—stars, moons, planets, etc.
  • Nature—both its breadth and detail
  • Travel—anything with a sense of “go,” including photos from across the United States or abroad
  • Pets and creatures
  • Love, life, art, or music

That’s a lot of variety! So basically send us images of what’s important to you; those you return to time and again; those would share with your friends. That is, after all, the central theme of the poems selected for the new anthology.

If you would like to contribute art, please submit it to, subject “Art submission.”

Images should be clear and original works, with a resolution of at least 1000 pixels per side (preferably 1500 to 3000). They can be color or black-and-white (we typically print in black-and-white and will convert them as necessary). If you wish to send a large batch, please send them one or two at a time.

We hope to complete selections by late October, so hurry before the goblins come knocking at your front door for trick or treat!

  1. Would you prefer if the color pictures were already converted to b/w?
