— Vicki L. Harvey
This year I won’t be at The Fish Market for your Birthday.
Some traditions must silently slip away.
Don’t get me wrong I love the place. It is one of my favorite eateries.
Being rigid isn’t something that you would have supported.
Keep your feet planted where they need to be.
March 20th is Spring Equinox, our favorite time of the year.
Will you see the Swallows return to Capistrano?
I bet you will witness the solar eclipse.
Are you planning your garden of corn, tomatoes and beans?
Did you save the special seeds for the biggest pumpkin?
You always planted things way to early
And fought the squirrels to save your crop
Have you been out to the desert with your brother Bob?
I bet the fireworks are beautiful!
The flood gates have opened, no need to think, just
write. Let the words flow freely from some deep unknown place.
Tonight will be filled with glorious poetry, words singing and dancing all around the room making me happy and making me sad.
Can you hear it? Can you feel it?
I have enough feelings for both of us…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!
